Brewpubs – places that serve food and make their own beer – are rare in New Jersey. Why? It’s expensive, said Tony Cunha, brewmaster at MudHen Brewing Company. But MudHen is making it work as one of the only brewpubs in New Jersey.

Outdoor picnic benches and lawn games give this spot a laid back vibe, as do the cocktails and beer brewed on-premises. For eats, MudHen has barbecue platters, wings, burgers, Mexican street corn, crab dip and other casual dishes.
