MudHen Hospitality Proudly Sponsors the 2026 Jersey Shore Summer Half, 10K & 5K

This summer, MudHen Hospitality Group laced up as the main sponsor of the 2026 Jersey Shore Summer Half Marathon, 10K & 5K, hosted by CityTri Runs at Atlantic Cape Community College’s Cape May County campus.

For us, getting behind this race was an easy decision.

We live here. We work here. And the people crossing that finish line are our neighbors, our guests, our friends — and, in more than a few cases, members of our own team.

Supporting a hometown event that brings people together, gets the community moving, and gives back to local students is exactly the kind of thing we’re proud to have the MudHen name behind.

More Than a Race

The Jersey Shore Summer races are about more than logging miles on a Sunday morning.

Every registration helps support the Atlantic Cape Foundation, which provides scholarships, educational resources, and opportunities for students right here in our community.

That mission hits close to home for us. Hospitality on the Jersey Shore is powered by local people, and many of the team members working throughout our restaurants, brewery, events, and properties got their start at schools just like Atlantic Cape.

Supporting local students means supporting the next generation of people who will work, build businesses, raise families, and keep the Jersey Shore moving forward.

And that’s something worth running for.

A Summer Race at the Shore

Runners took on a fast, flat, tree-lined 3.1-mile loop through the wooded paths of Atlantic Cape’s Cape May County campus, just a short drive from the shore.

The 5K runners tackled one loop, the 10K runners completed two, and the half marathon crew powered through four, with live chip timing and real-time splits keeping everyone on track along the way.

At the finish line, runners walked away with technical race shirts, die-cast medals, and some well-earned August bragging rights.

Last year’s event welcomed nearly 500 runners, and seeing another huge crowd come together this year made the morning even more special.

Whether someone was chasing a personal record, running their very first 5K, or simply showing up to challenge themselves, every finish was worth celebrating.

From the Finish Line to MudHen

To everyone who crossed that finish line today: you earned it.

Now it’s time to celebrate.

Grab a post-race beer at MudHen Brewing Company, kick back at Dogtooth Bar & Grill, sit down for dinner at Poppi’s Brick Oven, or turn race weekend into a full getaway at The Hen Houses.

Whether you ran 13.1 miles, 6.2 miles, or 3.1 miles, you’re getting the same welcome from the MudHen Hospitality family.

We’re proud to support events that bring people to Cape May County, showcase our community, and give something meaningful back to the people who call this area home.

Congratulations to every runner who made it across the finish line. Thank you to the volunteers who kept the course moving, to Atlantic Cape Community College and the Atlantic Cape Foundation for everything they do for local students, and to CityTri Runs for putting together another incredible Jersey Shore race day.

And, of course, thank you to everyone who came out and made the morning what it was.
