On September 21, 2024, MudHen Brewing Company hosted the 2nd Annual MudHen Cup at Morey’s Big Little 9 Golf Course in Cape May Court House, NJ. With clear skies and perfect temperatures, the best little golf tournament in cape may county welcomed golf enthusiasts and MudHen fans for a day filled with friendly competition, delicious brews, and a commitment to a great cause. Here’s a recap of the event and what made it a memorable day on the green.
The excitement kicked off with the opening at 12 PM time slot with 36 players.The tournament format was simple yet engaging—players paired up into teams of two, competing in rounds of nine holes. Four players started at each hole, ensuring a dynamic and fast-paced event.
Winners were determined after each round, with the top team advancing to compete for the best overall score. To keep things fair, any ties were settled by a scorecard playoff, adding an extra layer of anticipation to the competition.
Every participant received a swag bag that included customized MudHen golf tees and ball markers, a MudHen koozie, a tote bag, and a complimentary MudHen brew token (redeemable for participants over 21). Players also enjoyed complimentary food, thanks to Morey’s, making for a day of both great golf and great eats.

We also hosted a charity shootout after each round—a fun, competitive way for participants to further support the event’s mission. Proceeds from the shootout benefited Love of Linda, a breast cancer support organization, aligning with our goal to give back to the community while enjoying a great day on the green.
No MudHen event would be complete without some extra touches to enhance the experience. A beer trailer served up our favorite brews, and we stocked golf carts with cans to keep players refreshed throughout the course. The check-in tent featured MudHen tablecloths, koozies, and merchandise, including exclusive 10% discount cards redeemable at Dogtooth Bar & Grill, Poppi’s Brick Oven, and MudHen Brewing Company itself.
The 2nd Annual MudHen Cup was a success, and we’re already looking forward to next year’s event. We want to thank everyone who participated, sponsored, and supported our cause.
