Bulls on the Beach, a professional bull riding event, is charging onto the Wildwood beach. Three shows are scheduled over the weekend — Friday and Saturday, May 15 and 16 — at East Baker Avenue in Wildwood, with 7 p.m. shows Friday and Saturday and a 1 p.m. matinee on Saturday. Gates open two and a half hours before each performance.
Presented by Event Tech LLC and Red Eye Rodeo Co. and sanctioned by SEBRA (the Southern Extreme Bull Riding Association), the event features traditional rodeo acts including girls’ barrel racing, trick riding, breakaway and bull riding. The Western Midway brings live bands, Western-themed vendors, food trailers and MudHen Brewery beer.
Kid-friendly activities include sheep riding and stick horse racing starting around 6:30 p.m. before the 7 p.m. shows. Admission starts at $25 for adults and $15 for children 12 and younger, with VIP packages available. Entertainers include Dave “Showtime” Meyer and Jacob the Amishman.
