Roots Classic Wildwood NJ: A Weekend to Remember

The Roots Classic 2024 was a spectacular celebration of Volkswagen culture, held on September 6th and 7th at MudHen Brewing Company in Wildwood, NJ. Enthusiasts from all over gathered for a weekend filled with camaraderie, classic cars, and craft beer.

Event Highlights:

  1. Friday Night Welcome Meet
    • Kicking off the weekend on September 6th, the Welcome Meet drew in a lively crowd. Attendees enjoyed refreshing beers while connecting with fellow Volkswagen fans, sharing stories, and admiring each other’s rides. The atmosphere was electric, setting the perfect tone for the weekend.
  2. Saturday MK2 & MK3 Meet-Ups
    • On September 7th, the excitement continued with the MK2 GTG from 12 PM to 2 PM and the MK3 GTG from 3 PM to 5 PM at 4600 New Jersey Avenue. These dedicated meet-ups allowed enthusiasts to showcase their vehicles, enjoy delicious food from local vendors, and forge new friendships within the community.
  3. Pre-Show Party
    • The weekend concluded with our Pre-Show Party back in the main parking lot, where attendees gathered to celebrate with food and beer. Guests checked in their cars for the indoor show, building anticipation for the next day’s events.
