Helping our planet, our beach, and our community this Earth Day with Sciarra Restaurant Group.
We kicked the day off with a Beach Clean Up sponsored by Dogtooth Bar & Grill. At 8:30AM our first volunteer came in and it only went up hill from there. We had 50 participants join us to clean approximately 1,200 lbs. of garbage from our beach. Each participant received a $10 gift card for Dogtooth to treat themselves to lunch after doing our planet some good! Special thanks to Diane from Wildwood Public Works for the assistance with trash removal and giving us our grand total.
Over at MudHen Brewing Co. we hosted our 2nd Annual Earth Day Fair sponsored by Tequila Patron and St. Germain. Patron provided us with complimentary Succulent Terrarium building and St. Germain gave us our perfect photo op “Spring Swing.”
We had a group of local sustainable vendors such as Dan Cooker Jewelry, Basic to BouSHE, Blue Bottle Art, Threads by Ruby, and Authentic Strive. Our reptile friends from The Nature Center of Cape May paid a visit with our touch tank. Lower Cape May Regional demonstrated a live painting and auction, with the proceeds going back to the Nature Center.
Also, our friends at Orange Moose Carts & Pedego in Wildwood joined us to launch our 2023 partnership. Dine with us and grab a coupon at our front desk for your next electric bike or golf cart rental!
MudHen also shared on our Instagram how we partner with Meraki Farm to reduce our waste and provide cows with nutritious mash left over from our beer-making process! It’s small steps like this that benefit our community and our planet as we strive to make every day, Earth Day.
